BlackOut Camera is designed as a local-first camera app. Media stays on your device unless you choose to save it to Photos, share it, or export it through iOS controls.

Videos and photos captured in BlackOut Camera are kept in the app's local storage by default. They are not uploaded automatically. Media leaves the app only when you choose to save it to your Photos library, share it, or export it. Deleting media in the app removes the local copy. Uninstalling the app also removes media still stored only inside BlackOut Camera.

The app may store videos, photos, filenames, dates, durations, file sizes, resolution, frame rate, camera position, and interruption recovery metadata inside the app container. This information is used to power the local gallery and recovery features. The app also stores your settings and consent acknowledgement on the device. BlackOut Camera does not require an account or user profile.

Premium is offered as a one-time in-app purchase through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction and may provide the app with product and entitlement status needed to unlock or restore Premium. We do not receive your full payment card details.

BlackOut Camera requests camera permission to capture video and photos, microphone permission to record audio with videos, and Photos permission only when you choose to save media to your Photos library.

BlackOut Camera does not automatically upload recordings, does not add analytics to the app experience, and does not sell personal data. Any sharing action is initiated by you through iOS share or save controls.

This website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic and page usage. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits to blackoutcamera.app. This website analytics setup does not give us access to your photos, videos, camera, microphone, or on-device app media.

Recording runs only while the app is open in the foreground. If a call, system event, or app background transition interrupts a recording, BlackOut Camera attempts to save the current file and may show an interruption notice when you return.

You can delete recordings and photos from the gallery, export files when needed, and enable biometric protection for the gallery if Premium is unlocked.

If you email support, we receive the email address, message, and any diagnostic details you choose to include. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, and improve the app. Do not attach private media unless it is necessary for your request.
